Free Mentoring Sails to the Country’s Tuna Capital – General Santos City

Go Negosyo’s Mentor Me On Wheels is now en route to the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, General Santos City happening on October 15 at the Event Center of SM City General Santos.

The City of General Santos is located at the southernmost part of the Philippines, known for its diverse and classified highly urbanized first class city. It is also the regional center for commerce and industry of the SOCCSKSARGEN region. The city is also blessed with rich culture and human resource.

With the aim to bring mentorship closer to every Filipinos, MMOW has reached over nine cities in the country. After its successful roll out in Manila, Laguna, Batangas, Clark, Davao, Legazpi, Quezon City, Pampanga and Taguig.

On its tenth run, MMOW together with the roster of Go Negosyo mentors will further harness both existing and budding entrepreneurs in the city through its 30 minutes free 1-on-1 mentoring session about marketing and entrepreneurial mind setting.
The mentoring program will be led by Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion and will be graced with the participation of Ronnel C. Rivera, City Mayor of General Santos; Dorecita T. Delima, DTI Regional Director; Congressman Pedro B. Acharon; and Rey Lapid, President and CEO of R. Lapid’s Chicharon and Barbecue.

Through MMOW, Go Negosyo and its partner, the Department of Trade and Industry introduce mentors to micro and small entrepreneurs, offering technical and practical know-how on entrepreneurship through events in more convenient and accessible locations. Also, MMOW creates and enables entrepreneurs to a sustainable environment that enable them to be through programs on mentorship.

Go Negosyo’s Mentor Me On Wheels (MMOW)  was brought into action in the City of Taguig last October 2, 2018 at the lower ground floor of SM Aura Premier.

MMOW Taguig was attended by more than 800 participants with the desire to be mentored and absorb insights regarding entrepreneurial mind-setting and marketing straight from the top entrepreneurs in the country.

During its successful ninth roll out, MMOW presented more than 100 mentors headed by Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion, 2018 ASEAN Business Advisory Council Chair Dr. Robert Yap, Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, including Senators Bam Aquino and Miguel Zubiri and SM Investments Corporation Vice Chairman Tessie Sy-Coson.

The Mentor Me On Wheels – Taguig was also launched as an initiative of the ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN)

“I wish that one day we really will get our act and finally solve the biggest problem of this country and move forward to creating greater prosperity for everyone not just in the Philippines but also in ASEAN countries,” Concepcion said as he welcomed all the participants.

This leg was made extra special as ASEAN Business Advisory Council chairs and council members from across the region have graced and shared their own expertise during the launched. This was part of the initiative under the program ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN). Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Munir (ASEAN BAC Malaysia), Arin Jira (ASEAN BAC Thailand), and Anangga Roosdiono (ASEAN BAC Indonesia) shared their expertise and even participated in the mentoring session.

“As an entrepreneur you have to be everything. The most important thing is that you should know your environment, are you going against the wind or are you going with the wind? So, this (MMOW) is a very good time for you to take advantage of this kind of program to prepare you in greater endeavors,” Dr. Robert Yap (ASEAN BAC Singapore) shared during his speech in the program.

SEPTEMBER 07, 2018 – Go Negosyo’s Mentor Me On Wheels reached the hometown of Multi-Grammy Awardee and Creative entrepreneur advocate Apl.de.Ap, the City of Angeles, Pampanga for its eight roll out in the country.

After initially introduced in Clark, Pampanga last July 31, 2018 and several successful take off in Metro Manila, Laguna, Batangas,Davao, Albay, and Quezon City, Go Negosyo in partnership with THAMES International, Entrepreneurs School of Asia, Apl.de.ap Foundation, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and MarQuee Mall launched its FREE one-on-one mentorship  at the Activity Center, MarQuee Malls Ayala Malls, Angeles City.

Judith Angeles, Regional Director of DTI-Region 3 and William Dar, President of Inang lupa Movement also shared their welcome message to all the mentors and participants of the program.

Entrep-mentors from the creative and non-creative field combined to bring mentorship closer to Kapampangans, in the list were Bernie Liu, CEO of Golden ABC – PENSHOPPE and Pruds Garcia, CEO of Mekeni Food Corporation.

MMOW Angeles City showcased both non-creative business industry and the creative industry where creative entrepreneurs from fashion, music, photography, film, graphic design, drama, writing/publishing, digital and social media conjoined to bring on hand mentorship to Kapampangans.

Go Negosyo’s Mentor Me on Wheels continues its journey to the Culinary Capital of the Philippines!


On to its eight stop, Mentor Me On Wheels (MMOW) will now hit the road to Activity Center, MarQuee Mall, Angeles City, Pampanga on September 7, 2018.

In partnership with THAMES International, Entrepreneurs School of Asia, Apl.de.ap Foundation, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and MarQuee Mall, Go Negosyo’s MMOW Creativepreneurship aims to bring mentorship closer to the Filipinos in the creative industry.

For this special leg, world-renowned artist Apl.de.ap will be one of the mentors and panelists in the creative industry. Last June 2018, Apl.de.ap, together with the British Council, Thames International Business School, and DTI launched the Creative Innovators Program, a platform that will foster the creative industry through fellowship, producing creative hub managers who will support and grow entrepreneurs, designers, and artists all over the country.

Both entrep-mentors from creative and non-creative field will merge to bring mentorship closer to Kapampangans, in the list are Bernie Liu, CEO of Golden ABC – PENSHOPPE and Prudencio “Pruds” Garcia, CEO of Mekeni Food Corporation.

Mentor Me On Wheels (MMOW) reached its seventh stop at The Block Atrium, Quezon City after its successful legs in Metro Manila, Laguna, Batangas, Pampanga, Davao, and Albay. This program is a joint initiative of Go Negosyo and the Department of Trade and Industry that aims to bring mentorship closer to all Filipinos.

Over 700 aspiring and budding entrepreneurs registered and joined the free 30-minute 1-on-1 mentoring session regarding entrepreneurial mind-setting and marketing.

“This event really inspires both sides, — not just the mentees but also the mentors,” Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion said as he led the mentoring session. He also highlighted the essence of mentorship in empowering MSMEs to achieve prosperity in their businesses.

“We have seen the businesses in Quezon City grow from 65,000 to 75,000, so we are doing all our best to make sure that we remain a business-friendly city, if not even more friendly than it is today. One of our thrusts is to improve the environment for micro small and medium scale enterprises as well as social enterprises, which is my personal advocacy,” shared Quezon City Vice Mayor Josefina “Joy” Belmonte-Alimurung whose presence also graced the event.
