Go Negosyo’s Mentor Me on Wheels now heading to Quezon City!


This August 24, 2018, Mentor Me on Wheels (MMOW) will now head north at The Block Atrium, Quezon City.

The joint initiative of Go Negosyo and the Department of Trade and Industry aims to bring mentorship closer to all Filipinos. After the successful legs in Metro Manila, Laguna, Batangas, Pampanga, Davao, and Albay, MMOW will make its seventh pit stop at the City of Stars.

Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion will lead the free one-on-one mentoring session. He will be joined by SL Agritech Corp. CEO Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong, Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. President & CEO Fe Agudo, Uratex Founder & CEO Natividad Cheng, Mansmith and Fielders Inc. President and CEO Chiqui Escareal-Go, Mansmith and Fielders Inc. Chairman Josiah Go, Sarabia Optical President Dr. Vivian Sarabia, Convergys Philippines Chair Marife Zamora, Wilcon Depot Founder William Belo, Yazaki-Torres Manufacturing Inc. President & CEO Feliciano Torres, R. Lapid’s Chicharon and Barbecue President & Founder Rey Lapid, Philippine Franchise Association Inc. President Richard Sanz, Sta. Elena Construction and Development Corp. President & CEO Alice Eduardo, and more than 70 entrep-mentors.

Attendees will get the chance to sit down with a Go Negosyo mentor for a 30-minute one-on-one mentoring session. There will be modules on entrepreneurial mind-setting and marketing to provide supplemental knowledge on managing micro and small businesses.

Through MMOW, micro-small business owners can now be equipped with the technical and practical know-how on entrepreneurship in more convenient and accessible locations.

Go Negosyo’s Mentor Me on Wheels reaches Legazpi City

The French Baker Founder and CEO Johnlu Koa and more than 50 entrep-mentors provided their entrepreneurial expertise in the sixth leg of Mentor Me on Wheels in Legazpi.

Mentor Me on Wheels arrived at its sixth stop at Ayala Malls Legazpi – Activity Center, Albay last August 11, 2018.

The mentoring session was participated by The French Baker Founder and CEO Johnlu Koa, Albay Congressman Joey Salceda, PBN Broadcasting Network Inc. President Brenda Locsin, Albay Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Rose Quinto-Rey, 1st Colonial Grill Owner Bong Aspe, and more than 50 entrep-mentors.

More than 300 mentees joined and were fueled with knowledge on  mind-setting and marketing on the free one-on-one mentorship.

More than 300 mentees joined the free one-on-one mentorship in MMOW’s sixth stop in Legazpi.

“Mentor Me On Wheels is a commitment, it’s an effort but at the same time for business people it is an opportunity also to open up to many possibilities especially to retails,” shared Johnlu Koa. He also added that one should identify the opportunity by finding the need in the market and having the ability to create products and services to satisfy the customers’ needs. Also, he shared that one must not be afraid to take risks — plunging to it and then finding the best way to achieve his purpose.

Marife Severo, an aspiring business woman who was mentored by Koa, said that “Bilang nagsisimula pa lang sa negosyo, ang laking tulong ng natutunan ko sa Mentor Me dahil pinupush po talaga kami kung paano kami makaangat hindi lang sa negosyo kundi sa buhay din.”

Mentor Me Online simultaneously ran along with MMOW Legazpi. The program aims to connect mentees with online mentors through the recently launched Mentor Me Mobile Application.

Through MMOW and Mentor Me Online, Go Negosyo and its partner, the Department of Trade and Industry introduce mentors to micro and small entrepreneurs, offering technical and practical know-how on entrepreneurship through events in more convenient and accessible locations. These programs are in line with the current administration’s vision to capacitate micro and small businesses in boosting the Philippine economy.

The joint initiative of Go Negosyo and the Department of Trade and Industry aims to introduce mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs through a free one-on-one 30-minute session with successful entrepreneurs.

Go Negosyo launches the biggest Mentor Me On Wheels session in Davao City!

GO NEGOSYO MENTOR ME ON WHEELS was successfully launched at SM Lanang Premiere, Davao City last July 28, 2018! Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship led the FREE 1-on-1 mentoring session together with more than 100 mentors. Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go also graced the event.

After the four successful launches in Luzon, Mentor Me on Wheels (MMOW) finally arrived at its fifth destination in President Rodrigo Duterte’s hometown at SM Lanang Premier, Davao City last July 28, 2018.

Around 1,000 aspiring entrepreneurs attended the free one-on-one negosyo mentoring sessions with more than 100 mentors who provided their knowledge on managing micro and small businesses.

Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion led group of mentors from Manila. He was joined by Tessie Sy-Coson (SM Investments Corp.), Michael Tan (LT Group Inc.), George Barcelon and Alegria Limjoco (Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Rex Daryanani (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce Philippines Inc.), Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong (SL Agritech Corporation), Feliciano Torres (Yazaki-Torres Manufacturing Inc.), Rey Lapid (R. Lapid’s Chicharon and Barbecue), Chiqui Escareal-Go (Mansmith and Fielders Inc.), and Davao-based mentors Mary Ann Montemayor (Villa Margarita Corporation), and Samuel Uy (Davao Farms Inc. and DIMDI Center Inc.) in providing their expertise on entrepreneurial mind-setting and marketing.

“Go Negosyo’s promise for our micro and small entrepreneurs is to help everybody become successful entrepreneurs one day by actively partnering with public and private institutions to provide access to mentorship, money, and market,” PA Joey Concepcion said, citing President Rodrigo Duterte’s focus on the 99.6% of MSMEs that comprise the entire business sector during his State of the Nation Address.

PA Joey Concepcion mentors Christian Dave Bradley who aspires to open a car accessories business. He asked PA Joey for guidance as he is a young start-up entrepreneur. He was advised to create a brand and go online in order to reach more customers and become a reliable source of car accessories.

Madame Cielito “Honeylet” Avanceña welcomed the attendees to the President’s hometown. “You are so blessed and so lucky to have this kind of help desk composed of the key players in the business sector.” Avanceña, who is also an entrepreneur, shared that she also went through trials while managing her businesses. “Our President has witnessed my growth as an entrepreneur that is why he is a strong advocate of MSMEs,” she said. She also advised the entrepreneurs to persevere so that their businesses could flourish. “Do not stop. Pag huminto ka, talo ka na.”

Madame Cielito “Honeylet” Avancena also mentored a local entrepreneur during the Go Negosyo Mentor Me On Wheels held at SM Lanang Premiere last July 28, 2018! In her speech, she also shared how she started her entrepreneurial journey 20 years ago.

Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go also shared the initiatives of the Duterte administration including the recently signed Executive Order No. 50 which provides a six-year plan for private and public sector collaboration for MSME development as well as the Ease of Doing Business Act.

“Mentor Me on Wheels Davao is the first out-of-Luzon launch and I’m sure that this mentorship event will make way for MSMEs to become more strategic, smart, and knowledgeable in many aspects of business,” SAP Bong Go shared. He also regarded that Filipinos are capable of making products that are truly world-class and offer great contribution to the Philippine economy.

Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar also graced the event.

Aspiring entrepreneurs from all over the Philippines were able to seek advice from successful entrep-mentors through the recently launched Mentor Me Mobile Application. More than 300 engagements were generated in exchanging negosyo ideas and tips between mentors and mentees. The mobile app brought mentorship and supplemental knowledge on managing a business at their convenience.

Jennyvive Evangelista, 36 years old and an owner of customized printing shop and services business for three years now was lucky to be mentored by Michael Tan (LT Group) and Tessie Sy-Coson (SM Investments Inc.)
