Go Negosyo’s Free Mentorship Travels to the City of Love

Most known for the annual Dinagyang Festival, exquisite heritage sites, deliciously fresh seafood, and signature Ilonggo dishes, the City of Love, Iloilo City, is now ready to welcome Go Negosyo’s free one-on-one mentorship!

This Friday, June 21, 2019, Go Negosyo in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry will bring two of its program, Mentor Me On Wheels at Northpoint Event Center, SM City Iloilo and Money and Market Encounter at MO2 Westown Hotel, Iloilo City.

“With the right mindset and level of creativity and innovation, most of you will shine and persevere in the business community. The government, with the help of DTI, Go Negosyo and the private sector, will be here to mentor you especially in areas on how to use and source money to grow your business and on how to reach more markets for your products and services,” Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion highlighted.

MMOW program will be led by Jerry Clavecillas, Director of  Bureau of Small Medium EnterpriseDevelopment – DTI. He will be joined by Rebecca M. Rascon, Regional Director of DTI- Region 6, inspirational message from Hon. Arturo S. Defensor Sr., Governor of Iloilo and a special message by Edgar “Injap” Sia II, President of Double Dragon Properties.

Attendees will get the chance to sit down with a Go Negosyo mentor for a one-on-one mentoring session. Topics to be discussed are entrepreneurial mind-setting, marketing to provide supplemental knowledge on managing micro and small businesses. More than 50 mentors will join the session!

Aside from MMOW, Go Negosyo will also conduct its second rollout of MME in Region 6. Together with DTI, Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprise Development (BSMED), Micro Small Medium Enterprise Development Council (MSMED Council) and esteemed partners who will join forces with the aim to supplement graduates of KMME and KAMMP and link them to financial institutions and market platforms.

MME will feature three forums on Money, Market, and Digital. There will also be business matching and business consultations on Banking Institutions, microfinance institution (MFI), financial tech institution, digital market platform, mall/supermarket representative, and cashless payment provider.

We have been mentoring aspiring and existing micro and small entrepreneurs for almost 15 years now. Since 2005, Go Negosyo, together with its partners in the advocacy, has reached out to different areas of the country to help empower Filipinos and encourage them to pursue their business ideas.

Last May 24, we had one of the biggest rollouts of the Mentor Me On Wheels (MMOW) program in SM Dasmariñas, Cavite. Together with our mentors, we have catered to more than 800 mentees from different areas in Region 4A. This run of MMOW, which is focused on agriculture and mentorship, was organized in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Training Center, and the Department of Trade and Industry.

This MMOW was also attended by many entrepreneur-mentors who are also in the agriculture sector including Sen. Miguel Zubiri; Usec. Go Negosyo’s Free Mentorship Now Heading to CDO!

 

Aside from the amazing tourist spots, you can see in Cagayan de Oro, the city is also known as “The City of Golden Friendship”, because of the warm, friendly and hospitable Kagay-anons. This has been one of the special traits of Kagay-anons which has attracted many tourists to come and enjoy what the city has to offer.

This May 30, 2019, Go Negosyo in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry will bring Mentor ME On Wheels to Cagayan de Oro City at the Event Center of SM CDO Downtown Premier.

The joint initiative of Go Negosyo and the DTI aims to bring mentorship closer to all Filipinos. Attendees will get the chance to sit down with a Go Negosyo mentor for a one-on-one mentoring session. There will be modules on entrepreneurial mind-setting and marketing to provide supplemental knowledge on managing micro and small businesses.

As we continue to champion the agriculture industry, Go Negosyo in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA), Agricultural Training Institute Region 4A and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) brought a special leg of FREE MENTORSHIP on Agripreneurship to the people of the historic South in SM City Dasmariñas, Cavite.

In its 17th rollout, Mentor ME On Wheels catered more than 500 aspiring and existing entrepreneurs. Large percentage of attendees hail from the agriculture sector which was tagged as one of the pillars for inclusive growth. To date, the agriculture industry remains one of the booming sectors in the country.
