With its 16-18 seating capacity, this customizable service vehicle is perfect for out-of-town Negosems and seminars to transport speakers and equipment. It can carry up to 1.5 tons of cargo while consuming 12.9 kilometers per liter of gas under normal driving conditions, which is an impressive rate despite its capacity. In addition, the i-Van interior features individual, fabric-covered seats, covered floors, airconditioning system, and a four-speaker stereo. Its white exterior features a visible Go Negosyo logo that can be recognized from afar.

The Go Negosyo i-Van marks one of the first ventures between Isuzu and Go Negosyo. It is expected that in the coming months, Isuzu and Go Negosyo will bring Negosems at key Isuzu dealerships in the country.

December 5th, 2011

Employees of Orchard Property Management Corporation (OPMC) were given an early Christmas treat as the OPMC administration partnered with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship to come up with an exclusive Negosem, which was held last December 1 at the RFM Auditorium, RFM Corporate Center in Mandaluyong City. This is the first exclusive Negosem that was organized between Go Negosyo antd OPMC, which seeks to encourage its employees to improve themselves and consider other means such as entrepreneurship to move forward in their lives.

The seminar was opened by Buddy Castro, OPMC’s Marketing and Training Manager, as the Regional Sales Manager Mike Arroyo and National Sales Manager Mary Ann Estacio offered their short words of encouragement. The employees were given a short background about Go Negosyo and its advocacy by its Executive Director Ramon Lopez, who explained that although not all people can be entrepreneurs, everyone can adapt the positive, entrepreneurial mindset. His presentation was succeeded by an inspiring message from Go Negosyo’s founding trustee Joey Concepcion. He acknowledged the factors that hinder most Filipinos from being successful is that they react negatively about his surroundings, which prevents them from seeing the countless opportunities that this country has.

Two of Go Negosyo’s Angelpreneurs presented their life stories to the audience to show that they are living examples of how a change in mindset can jumpstart a person’s efforts to success. Ping Sotto, one of the best self-help guru and motivational speakers in the country, shared how he and his wife were able to turn their lives around from mere employees to successful entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, “Laugh with God Today” author Michael Angelo Lobrin provided a humorous yet meaningful discourse on the importance of having a positive attitude towards entrepreneurship and life.

The session was capped with a short message from OPMC’s President Ed Tirona, who thanked everyone who participated in the seminar. He also wished that this would serve as the vehicle for his employees to continue to better themselves in attaining their goals in life. T-shirts from Go Negosyo and copies of Lobrin’s book were raffled off to lucky attendees.

Go Negosyo offers exclusive Negosems to organizations who wish to develop its workforce, or to adapt entrepreneurship as a form of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity. To know more about how we can conduct an exclusive Negosem with your organization, you may call 637-9229 or 631-8101 for inquiries.

Thousands of OFWs Inspired

December 1st, 2011

What a first OFW summit it has been for the Villar Foundation and Go Negosyo. To our surprise, more than 6,000 people filled up the hall at the World Trade Center last November 24, as past and present OFWs and their families attended to learn how to make a stable future for themselves in the country. We didn’t expect to see thousands lining up outside the hall as early as 5 a.m. It gives us great joy to know that our summits, whatever kind, seem to be something many always look forward to.

The audience was very attentive and it was clear that many would really rather establish themselves here. People were jotting down notes, asking questions, and as the day progressed, the hall just filled up more, so much that the people seated at front would have it hard to walk through the crowd. Giving Thanks

November 24th, 2011

The end of the year is approaching once again. As this column comes out, it will be Thanksgiving Day. Most Americans celebrate, and sometimes even give greater importance to Thanksgiving than Christmas. Just like Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Thanksgiving is a holiday when Americans travel cross-country to rejoin and bond with the family and friends. If Christmas is a season of giving, Thanksgiving, to the Americans, is a season to be grateful for one’s blessings.

Sometimes we take things for granted, most especially in the life we live today and with the blessings we have. As I look back at the years I was growing up, or as I watch my children grow, seeing them change, I realize that I am indeed blessed: to have a great wife and children who are Christ-centered, respectful, and most of all, loving to us. Sometimes, we lose sight of the greatest treasure given to us, thinking that power and wealth are the best blessings. Read the rest of this entry »
