Go Negosyo Mentors Aspiring, Practicing Entrepreneurs through Magandang Business Advise

The Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship conducted the second leg of the Magandang Business Advise or MBA on the session How to Start Your Own Business last May 12, 2011 at the AIM Conference Center, Makati. This is the last leg of the two-part seminar-workshop on starting your own business focused on the participants’ business and business idea presentation and actual mentoring.

Day 2 was commenced with a welcome remarks by Executive Director Mr. Ramon Lopez followed by an audio-visual presentation on the importance of time shared by Angelpreneur Mr. Reuel Virtucio. He shared the 5M’s which are important for both aspiring and practicing entrepreneurs: machinery, manpower, money, methods, and moments or time. The floor was then given to Angelpreneur Dean Pax Lapid who gave the recap and facilitated presentation of business plans and ideas critique by the panel.

Among those who shared their business ideas were: Paulo Santos (nail spa salon), Patricia Paraiso (abaca handmade paper), Vincent Yao (waffle), Alfonso Castro (karaoke for PS3), Bhabes Buendia (bracelets/earrings), Kayo Cosio (social strategies and solutions), and many others.

Those who presented were given practical tips and advices by the panel composed of Dean Lapid, Prof. Virtucio, and Prof. Ning Lagman of Entrepreneurs School of Asia. Towards the end of the program, those who did not present their business concepts were privileged to address questions to the panel composed of entrepreneurship educators and practitioners.
