Go Negosyo successfully conducted a Negosyo Seminar with around 200 maximum security inmates of the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City—December 08.
This Negosyo Seminar brought together the powerhouse tandem of Mr. Ping Sotto and Dean Pax Lapid, the authors of Go Negosyo’s best-selling book, 21 Steps. Mr. Sotto enlightened the inmates on the importance of having an optimistic mindset and attitude to succeed in life, specifically in entrepreneurship, while Dean Pax shared important tips and insights on how to rightfully spot business opportunities. Meanwhile, Mr. Ramon Lopez, the Executive Director of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, gave a talk on the advocacy of Go Negosyo and its aim of building an entrepreneurial society.
The inmates in the Maximum Security section are also engaging in various livelihood activities. They make furniture and do creative paintings and other decorative crafts made of bottles, burnished wood and coconut husk and shells.
The said Negosyo Seminar aimed to help these inmates further the transformation of their simple livelihood into profitable enterprises by inspiring and reinforcing their basic knowledge of entrepreneurship.
