The Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo conducted the Negosyo Seminar Basics on May 11, 2012 at the RFM Auditorium. This was the second time for the year 2012 that the NEGOSEM Basics was held.
“The NEGOSEM Basics seminar is for those who would like to learn about how to start a business and also for those who are already entrepreneurs but wishes to revisit the fundamentals”, shared Jap Uminga, Go Negosyo’s Programs Development Officer who co-hosted the event together with Go Negosyo Communications and Special Projects Officer Monica Ramirez.
Mr. Paulo Tibig, President of VCargo shared his insights on the importance of developing the entrepreneurial and positive mindset and some strategies on how to spot business opportunities. Meanwhile, Prof. Carlo Calimon lectured on the basics of product development and marketing. Mr. Tibig and Prof. Calimon are Go Negosyo’s angelpreneurs.

The ‘Tagumpay’ Forum, a forum which highlighted the entrepreneurial journeys of selected panelists, was also staged as value-add to the learning experience. The forum was co-presented with the Association of Filipino Franchisers Association led by its President Mr. Armando “Butz” Bartolome, who is also a member of the Go Negosyo angelpreneur network and served as the forum moderator.
Among those who shared their inspiring stories of struggles and successes were: Mr. Victor Fernando (Big Apple Express Spa), Ms. Rosanna Llenado (Ahead Tutorial), and Mr. Voltaire Magpayo (Sweet Corner). Meanwhile, three of Go Negosyo’s annual partners were given a timeslot to present their organization, its products and services which are relevant to entrepreneurs. These were Meralco, Valueline and OPMC.
A total of 98 participants joined the entrepreneurship training including delegates from ATRIEV School for the Blind and Lenard Chesire Foundation.

A NEGOSEM Level Up called Go Negosyo Magandang Business Advice is to be held on June 13 & 16 at the Asian Institute of Management, Makati City. The third NEGOSEM Basics for the year is scheduled on July 14 at the RFM Auditorium, Mandaluyong.
