The Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo launched “Kapatid: Angat Lahat!” last August 1, 2016. Kapatid is an initiative that encourages medium and large corporations, or the “Big Brother”, to help Micro and Small enterprises (MSEs), or the “Small Brother”, through the use of Inclusive Business (IB) models. Kapatid Project will develop programs to partner MSEs with medium and large enterprises as part of their value chain. This is in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry led by Sec. Ramon Lopez.

More than 600 guests composed of entrepreneurs, legislators, government representatives and partner organizations joined the launch. Micro and small entrepreneurs from the the first batch of Mentor Me program mentees in Negosyo Centers Mandaluyong and Calamba also attended.

Joey Concepcion, Go Negosyo founder, opened the program and officially launched how Kapatid can help in the goal of achieving inclusive growth. He also led the recognition of Sec. Ramon Lopez for having served as Go Negosyo’s Executive Director for the past 11 years.

A forum featured Senator Bam Aquino, Sen. Sonny Angara, Sen. Miguel Zubiri, Sen. Grace Poe, and Sen. Win Gatchalian and their thoughts on inclusive growth. The forum panelists discussed economic development through business. They also talked about the role of the private sector and the government in achieving inclusive growth.
