Go Negosyo Southeast Asia Mobile Application Challenge

Are you interested in mobile app development?
Do you have a great idea for a new and innovative app?
Do you think you are or can be an entrepreneur?

If you answered YES to any of the questions above, you should form a team with 2-6 members, ages 18-35 years old. Register only once to take part of the challenge. An application form will be sent to your team for accomplishment. Submit it together with the following materials on or before December 12, 2014, 11:59PM:

• A two-minute video representation of the app concept and functionality
• A PowerPoint presentation using the template provided to include:

a. Problem
b. Solution- Innovation/ Technology
c. Marketing and Business Model
d. Execution: Operations and Finances
e. Team

Go Negosyo to hold the AgriNegosyo Summit in Luzon

Following the success of the FIRST PHILIPPINE AGRINEGOSYO SUMMIT last July 25, the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship is bringing the AGRINEGOSYO SUMMIT in LUZON!

GNPAS- LUZON is a one- day event that will feature different topics in agripreneurship in the forms of keynote addresses, plenary discussions and plenary lectures. It shall enjoin the participants to develop a positive change in their mindset, and empower them with relevant entrepreneurship tools and concepts as their key to success specifically in pursuing an agribusiness venture.

Designed to complement the existing sectoral summits of GoNegosyo targeting the youth, the women, the OFWs and the technopreneurs, this Summit is centered on reinforcing the entrepreneurial spirit of the Filipino people by educating them about different opportunities in the vast sector of agriculture.

OBJECTIVES

Specifically, the summit aims to be able to:

Inspire students and aspiring entrepreneurs to look at agriculture in a different way and possibly encourage them to start their own agribusiness ventures by featuring young successful and inspiring agripreneurs;

Present various business models in agriculture in the crops, seeds and grains, vegetables and fruits, agri-processing, fishing and animal raising and industry subcategories and teach practical know-how on starting up an agri venture;

Invite relevant government agencies and leaders in the agriculture sector to communicate their general roadmap and vision for the Philippine Agriculture;

Get together a network of enablers in the agribusiness industry to share and discuss services being extended to potential and practicing entrepreneurs.

Go Negosyo joins PFA Franchising Negosyo Para Sayo, Ayala Cebu

GoNegosyo is celebrating the Philippine Independence Day in Cebu!

We are supporting the Philippine Franchise Association’s Franchising Negosyo Para Sayo from June 12 until Saturday, June 14 at the Activity Center of Ayala Mall Cebu.

The Franchising Negosyo Para Sayo Cebu run officially kicks off with the ribbon-cutting ceremonies with the institutional partners.

Mr. Ramon Lopez, GoNegosyo’s Executive Director, moderates the forum. The panelists include Jan Rodriguez (Ilaputi/Irie Gastropub), Jay Aldeguer (Islands Group of Companies), Richard Sanz (Bibingkinitan/ Bar-b-king/ Ovn) and Wilson Ng (Ng Khai Development Corporation).

One of the panelists, Mr. Richard Sanz of Food Asia Corporation, decided to leave his job at a multinational company as an engineer when he was only 23 years old to start his own business. Looking back, he shares he has no regrets. He is now continue expanding his businesses from Bibingkinitan to Bar-b-king to Ovn.

Go Negosyo to hold the SIXTH FILIPINA ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUMMIT 2014 #FES6

True to its commitment of building the Philippines as an entrepreneurial nation and in celebration of the International Women’s Month, the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, Inc. – Go Negosyo is holding the SIXTH FILIPINA ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUMMIT 2014 (#FES6) on MARCH 7, 2014, FRIDAY at the WORLD TRADE CENTER
in Pasay City.

#FES6  is a one-day activity centered on reinforcing the entrepreneurial spirit of the Filipina by equipping them with a positive mindset, as well as the tools and concepts necessary for them to pursue the path towards success. It shall continue the annual tradition of recognizing women and their capacity to be catalysts of change and progress.

The summit will also cover different entrepreneurship topics in the form of keynote speeches and plenary forum, as well as individual mentoring sessions featuring prominent female personalities, expert entrepreneurs and consultants including Sen. Grace Poe, queen of all media Ms. Kris Aquino, broadcast journalist Ms. Korina Sanchez and celebrity entrepreneur Regine Tolentino, together with female entrepreneurs like Juliet Herrera (Serenitea), Kellda Centeno (Adobo Connection), Roselin Pagunsan (Big Apple Express Spa) and many others. In addition, a select pool of outstanding and inspiring women entrepreneurs will be recognized as this year’s GoNegosyo Women STARpreneurs. This Summit follows the overwhelming success of the other Go Negosyo sectoral summits over the years.

Go Negosyo is reserving 500 SEATS for Participants who are Non-Students & Non-Teachers. Registration fee is worth Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) which will already come with a lunch meal and a Certificate of Participation. Youth Entrepreneurship Summit Iloilo

Last September 4, Go Negosyo successfully rolled out their Visayas leg of Youth Entrepreneurship Summit(YES) following the North Luzon run they had in Baguio last July. Starting last year, Go Negosyo was bringing Youth Entrepreneurship Summits, one of their most well-attended events, in other parts of the country to give the same entrepreneurship experience to the youth in the provinces. YES Visayas run was in partnership with the Central Philippine University, one of the largest universities in the country with close to 20,000 students.  Go Negosyo had the active participation of the local Iloilo government led by its honorable Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and of course, Central Philippine University, who did all the on-ground preparation, headed by their President Dr. Teodoro C. Robles.

SME Roving Academy Region 3 Launched in Pampanga

Last July 16, we celebrated the launching of SME Roving Academy for Region III and Go Negosyo Seminar in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry. This program is a continuous learning program for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to become competitive in the domestic and international markets. The goal of this program is to integrate the business development services for SMEs at national and local levels, establish the Provincial, Regional and National Entrepreneurship Development Networks and manage an inclusive promotion program. SME Roving Academy program has seven stages: Start-Up & Capability Building Stage, Market Awareness Stage, Market Readiness Stage, Export Readiness Stage, Export Market Entry Stage, Export Sustainability Stage and Export Expansion Stage.

Region III covers the following provincial offices of DTI Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Bataan and Aurora.  The participants of the event traveled all the way to San Fernando, Pampanga just to witness the launching of this program and of course, to learn from the Go Negosyo seminar. Aside from the representatives per provincial office, DTI also invited MSMEs to attend the program in helping them improve and develop their negosyos. During the first part of the event, launching was done.

Go Negosyo encourages Fil-Am Youth Ambassadors

Last July 7, 2013, Go Negosyo welcomed the 2013 delegation of the Filipino-American Youth Leadership Program (FYLPro) and Ambassador of the Philippines to the United States, Amb. Jose Cuisia, Jr. for a meet and greet dinner with our three Angelpreneurs namely Johnlu Koa (The French Baker), Myla Villanueva (MDI Group Holdings, Inc.), and Ardy Roberto (Salt & Light Ventures). These Go Negosyo Angelpreneurs shared their inspiring stories about entrepreneurship.
