True to its commitment of helping transform the Philippines into an entrepreneurial nation, the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, Inc. – Go Negosyo, is organizing the Magandang Business Advice (MBA): Franchising on May 27, 2016 at the RFM Auditorium, RFM Corporate Center, Pioneer corner Sheridan Sts., Mandaluyong City.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
It shall be four-hour training on the basics of franchising. This learning opportunity is intended for aspiring entrepreneurs who are eyeing to get a franchise business and practicing entrepreneurs who would like to convert their businesses into a potential franchise. Learn how certain brands started small and now invading international market.

ABOUT THE MENTOR:
Armando O. Bartolome or “Mr. B” is the president of GMB Franchise Developers Inc., a pioneer franchise development company established since 1993. This was co-founded and managed by his wife, Lyndah. The company has assisted numerous entrepreneurs whose brand names are now known in the country. Aside from being a well-respected public accountant, Tess is an educator. She is presently a lecturer on Understanding Accounting for SMEs of the Philippine Trade and Training Center (PTTC), Accounting for NGOs of the Tritium Knowledge, Inc. She is also one of the “Angelpreneurs” of the Go Negosyo Foundation and joins its caravan as they travel all over the country- she discusses finance and accounting for SMEs. She used to be one of the CPA reviewers at the Center for Training and Development, Inc. and used to be in the faculty at the SAN BEDA COLLEGE, Alabang teaching accounting and finance subjects. She also taught at the DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY-MANILA in 1986 on the same subjects earlier mentioned and also served as a resource speaker in accounting for non-accountants seminar of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCCI) in 1995.  She also conducts workshops on IFRS regarding conversions.

She is presently the President of Southern Metro-Manila Council of Metro-Manila Region of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (SMMC-MMR- PICPA) for the year 2009-2010, but before this, she had also served in different positions in the SMMC-MMR-PICPA.   She was a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of ACPAPP (Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice) and held other positions in PICPA and ACPAPP in the previous years. She is also a member of the Tax Management Association of the Philippines (TM-AP), Institute of Internal Auditors and an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

In its tenth year as a progressive non-governmental advocacy-based organization, the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, Inc. (Go Negosyo) is organizing the Magandang Business Advice (MBA): Digital Marketing on July 10, 2015 at the RFM Auditorium, RFM Corporate Center, Pioneer corner Sheridan Sts., Mandaluyong City.

Since access to information anytime and anywhere is becoming easier making Digital Marketing a more relevant topic. Dr. Donald Patrick Lim, Chief Digital Officer of ABS-CBN and considered one of the founding fathers of digital marketing here in the country will be invited to share how it is taking the country to a storm and its relevance and importance to businesses both big and small.

ABOUT THE MENTOR – DR. DONALD PATRICK LIM

Aside from his full time job now with ABS-CBN, he oversees five other businesses of his own, and also does management consulting for up and coming brands and businesses. Dr. Donald is one of the only 24 Certified Professional Marketers in the country, and one of the first in the Philippines to be awarded the Certified Entrepreneur title by the Canadian Institute of Entrepreneurship. He used to sit as part of the technical panel of the Commission of Higher Education, and has also been awarded the Dr. Bienvenido R. Tantoco Sr. Professorial Chair in Marketing by the Jose Rizal University.

Considered one of the founding fathers of digital marketing in the Philippines, Donald has been awarded the Digital Marketer of the Year at the Asian Leadership Awards in Dubai, UAE by the Asian Confederation of Business, the Young Market Masters Award in Online Marketing by Mansmith and Fielders, an honorary Certified eMarketing Consultant title by the eMarketing Standards Board of Australia, and is the first recipient of the Digital Leader of the Future award conferred at the World Brand Congress in Mumbai, India. Most recently, he is the first awardee of the Agora Award for Marketing Communications by the Philippine Marketing Association, and a 2015 Young Global Leader conferred by the World Economic Forum.

He is the youngest to serve as President of the Philippine Marketing Association, the biggest gathering of marketing professionals in the Philippines. He is also the founding president of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines. He sat as a board of Governor of the Management Association of the Philippines, and was a past board of director of the Manila Junior Chamber.
