Hello Gemma!
Thank you for your time to write us. We admire your perseverance and your vision of moving up in life!
Franchising is one way to start a business because there’s minimal preparation. Aside from that, it asks for a smaller capital as compared with other businesses. Depending on the brand that you choose to carry, most of the franchisers are already established and has a growing market.
You may browse on the Philippine Franchising Association’s website (www.pfa.org) for more information.
We hope that you continue to pursue your dreams and be inspired to Go Negosyo!

Hello Joey! I have been trying to find out how to put up a motorbike and bicycle shop selling not just the machines but parts and accessories as well. I’ve searched sites and magazines for franchising but all I got were just accessories and a big fee on royalty! Recently approached store owners and were not helpful and very unfriendly (to the max). In fact discouraged me to put up one. My guess is that they are afraid of competition. So sad for those with crab mentalities. Some owners suggested I buy a franchise from their already existing shops. I find no security in that idea since they are not registered in any organization. I just don’t want to give up looking for that entry.
I will be so grateful for any lead and advice. Thank you much in advance.

Dear Mr. Joey Concepcion,
I am a father of 4 struggling to keep my kids in school (I got 3 in college and another one in high school) and trying to get both ends meet. I wanted to start a small business but do not know how to make sure I will be on the right track. We had a bakery business way back then which was short lived due to rising raw material costs. Most of friends advised me to go for the networking business but I know this would be a short-lived venture again. I need your advise to enlighten me how to start-up with a very small capital.
Hoping for your positive response.
Regards,
Norberto Cruz

Sir,
I am from Paombong, Bulacan where the famous sukang paombong is from. It has been ages and our producers just sell vinegar from the produce of our nipa palm. I ask a friend way back if they can make it into other spirits like lambanog but hindi daw tumatagal ang shelf life. I wish you can help us to get out of the box at maiba naman na hindi lamang suka at pawid ang products ng mga nipa palm sa amin

Dear Mr. Joey Concepcion, this is a cry for help against Meralco who cut-off last Tues (2-2-2010) my neighbor, a young entrepreneur-owner of a small internet cafe that’s barely a year old, from a critical power supply, for refusing to pay P108,869.50 for a “supposed” consumption that Meralco says did not register in the (old, kwh) meter which Meralco replaced with a new (digital) one last 7-27-2009. I personally attended the Meralco lab testing done on 8-3-2009 of that old meter w/c yielded ff results: a NORMAL (102) SPEED count; perfect alignment of its 4 dial-pointers, contrary to Meralco’s insistence that 2 out of 4 are mis-aligned; a very faint circular scratch that went 270 degrees around one of the ‘alleged mis-aligned’ dial-pointers (but w/c did not break the thing),.. Can I just call you, pls? Extortion talaga, Jaye 09176241976
