More than 300 participants joined the 20th rollout of Go Negosyo’s Mentor ME On Wheels held at the Atrium of SM City Baguio last June 27, 2019. This program is in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry.
MMOW was brought into action in the City of Pines with the aim to bring mentorship closer to every Filipino and gear them towards inclusive growth. As it reached over 19 cities in the country, a roster of Go Negosyo mentors will further harness both existing and budding entrepreneurs in the city through its free 1-on-1 mentoring session about marketing and entrepreneurial mind setting.
This rollout was led by Johnlu Koa, President & CEO of The French Baker; Dir. Myrna P. Pablo, Regional Director – CAR of DTI; Rey Lapid, Owner of R. Lapid’s Chicharon and Barbeque; and Nick Wilwayco of Paymaya/Voyager and 30 more mentors!
“With the right mindset and level of creativity and innovation, most of you will shine and persevere in the business community. The government, with the help of DTI, Go Negosyo and the private sector, will be here to mentor you especially in areas on how to use and source money to grow your business and on how to reach more markets for your products and services.” Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion.
Through MMOW and Mentor Me Online — the mobile application for mentoring, Go Negosyo and DTI, gives aspiring and existing micro and small entrepreneurs a chance to be mentored for free and offers technical know-how and practical entrepreneurship strategies. These programs are in line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s vision to capacitate micro-small businesses in boosting the Philippine economy.
SM Supermalls is the official venue partner of Mentor Me on Wheels Baguio City. Watch out for the next leg of MMOW in your local malls!
