Starting a business is not an easy undertaking. Many businesses, especially startups, have the most innovative ideas only to be hindered by their lack of capital. Small enterprises struggle with finding the right institutions that will provide financial aid in order for their business to be established.

These concerns were raised during the successful run of the Meet ASEAN’s Talents and Champions (MATCH) Philippines Roadshow last July 9 and 10 in Makati City and Cebu City, respectively, organized by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council Philippines in partnership with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Go Negosyo, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc., and SGV & Co. (EY Philippines).

The roadshow, which gathered more than 400 start-up entrepreneurs, aims to spread awareness on MATCH to facilitate deal-making by showcasing ASEAN startups and growth enterprises across all sectors, and link them to top global and local investors.

MATCH Deal-making and MATCH Conference are the newest additions to the expanded Global Investor Summit. MATCH aims to promote private equity and venture capital deal flow by bringing the investment and ASEAN enterprise communities together. It is organized by Ernst and Young, Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, and Singapore Business Federation.

MATCH Deal-making is a curated portal that will enable ASEAN enterprises with better access to quality funding, expertise, and networks for their businesses. It will showcase promising ASEAN enterprises as well as funding opportunities to investors.

As part of the Singapore Fintech Festival week, the MATCH Conference will be held on November 13-14, 2018. It will feature prominent entrepreneurs, founders, and investors who shared their expertise on financing strategies, enterprise value creation, and exit opportunities.
