Judit Alday-Mangmang established Batangas Egg Producers Cooperative (BEPCO) on September 30, 2010. Department of Agriculture (DA) granted a loan worth 60 million to capitalize the Egg Cooperative.
The company started with just 10 employees but after KMME she added more than 40 employees due to the increase in demand of the products. And through KMME, Judit learned how to properly handle her employees. “With KMME, na-establish ang network to market our product,” she said.
The company also experienced challenges, one of these was to introduce the pasteurized egg in the market because people have a little knowledge about it. “But with the knowledge and skills equipped, plus the confidence gained, we tried to reach out to our ‘future clients’,” Judit said.
She created a framework for the pasteurized egg called the “EGG-O-SYSTEM”. BEPCO also consulted LGU program for their new product from pasteurized egg and it granted their request that is worth Php 200,000.
KMME had taught a lot to Judit in terms of handling the company. “Ang KMME ay eye opener to all entrepreneurs all ages,” she said.
