To jumpstart the GoNegosyo Southeast Asia Mobile Application Challenge 2014 (GNSEAMAC), a Technoprenuership Conference and Information Session was held in partnership with Far Eastern University Manila last October 9, 2014.
The event was graced by three young technopreneurs, namely Gian Javelona, CEO of OrangeApps Inc., Brian Cu, co-founder of GrabTaxi Philippines and Vince Golangco, founder of WheninManila.com. The info session gave the students, professors and aspiring entrepreneurs in attendance the opportunity to learn the basics of technology with the use of mobile applications and of the web. Students were inspired by the stories of these technopreneurs which gave solutions, insights and entertainment to the readers and end users. The event gathered 200 participants from different schools and organizations all over the metro who are interested in using technology to make a difference.
The event was made possible with the support of FEU Manila through its Office of Student Development and partner students organizations: Tamaraw Volunteers, Institute of Arts and Sciences Student Council and Organization of Junior Finance Executives.
